1. Overview

At Beyond Portugal, we understand that plans can change. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds are granted for tour bookings. We strive to be fair and transparent in all refund decisions.

2. Cancellation by the Customer

If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, the following schedule applies based on how far in advance you cancel before the tour departure date:

A processing fee of €15 applies to all refunded bookings to cover administrative and payment processing costs.

3. No-Show Policy

Customers who do not appear at the designated meeting point at the scheduled departure time without prior notification will be considered a no-show. No refunds will be issued for no-shows. If you anticipate being late, please contact us as soon as possible.

4. Cancellation by Beyond Portugal

We reserve the right to cancel a tour in the following circumstances:

  • Minimum Group Size Not Met: Some tours require a minimum number of participants. If this is not met, we will offer a full refund or the option to reschedule.

  • Unsafe Weather or Conditions: For the safety of our clients, we may cancel tours due to severe weather, natural events, or unsafe road conditions.

  • Force Majeure: Events beyond our control (strikes, pandemics, political unrest, etc.) may require cancellation.

  • Guide Illness or Emergency: If our guide is unable to conduct the tour due to illness or personal emergency.

In all cases of cancellation by Beyond Portugal, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid, or you may choose to reschedule at no additional cost.

5. Tour Modifications by Beyond Portugal

We may occasionally need to modify a tour itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances. If significant changes are made to a confirmed tour, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer the option to accept the modified tour or receive a full refund.

6. Rescheduling

If you wish to reschedule rather than cancel, please contact us at least 5 days before your departure date. Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur an administration fee of €20. Rescheduled tours must take place within 12 months of the original booking date.

7. Refund Processing

  • All approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method used at the time of booking.

  • Refunds are typically processed within 7–10 business days, though your bank or card provider may take additional time.

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors or banking institutions.

8. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all customers purchase comprehensive travel insurance prior to booking. Travel insurance can cover you in the event of cancellation due to illness, injury, or other unexpected circumstances, helping to protect your investment.

9. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that exceptional circumstances (serious illness, bereavement) may arise. If you need to cancel due to extraordinary personal circumstances, please contact us directly. We will review such cases on an individual basis and try to find a fair solution, which may include a credit voucher or rescheduling option.

10. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or cancellation, please:

  • Email us at info@beyondportugal.com with your booking reference number.

  • Include the reason for cancellation and your preferred refund method.

  • We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days.
