We had an absolutely perfect day with Francisco! He was punctual, engaging, funny, and kind. The itinerary was beyond our expectations – it’s hard to say what our favorite stop was, because every stop was incredible. Would recommend this tour to anyone – it was perfect for our family of 4 (two kids 11 and 8.5 years old), and we loved getting to know the solo traveler and family (mom and adult kids) we traveled with.

We had such a great time! Our tour guide, Francesco, was so informative and knew how to work the logistics and connections in the tour to make our housing so much fun. We learned a ton about the fantastic castles and an asset to his tour group! The tour itself was so worth it. He made absolutely fantastic castles were beautiful! And the free time spent in Cascais at the end of our tour was so nice…. It was a long day but worth it, and our free time in Cascais at the end was really enjoyable and reinvigorated us!

Our tour guide, Francesco, was pleasant, informative, and professional. The drive to and from Fatima was comfortable. Learning the history of the time period and day-to-day lives of the shepherds was helpful. We also learned about the importance of the basilica itself. Visiting the holy site was moving. The newest basilica though beautiful, is a little too contemporary. The older basilica is incredible.
Highly recommend the tour if you are visiting Lisbon. The price is a good value and well worth it.

Amazing experience and Francisco was everything you expect from a tour guide and more. The tour began punctually and immediately he began by telling us interesting facts about Portugal and the role of the Knight Templars, as well as the facts about the order itself. Francisco offered an excellent, in-depth tour of Templar sites and history. He provided detailed information about the Templars, and he painted the relevant context in Britain politics and world religion. His was enthusiastic and passionate about his country, and this was evident throughout the day. The rainy weather did not spoil the day due to his professionalism, diligence, and care. Francisco was very warm and extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the tour and general Portugal knowledge. We had the option to do Pena but it is not included because many people are fine just doing the gardens/outside only (our choice). Regaleira Palace was very cool and interesting and he gave us a tour there. Other places we stopped was nice because we got free time and could move at our own pace. It was a lot of walking but worth it for us to see so many places in one day!

I had a fascinating experience exploring the history of the Knights Templar during my visit to Tomar. Francisco, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. It was a pleasure discussing not only the Templars but also the rich history around him. The tour was thoughtfully crafted, offering a perfect balance of guided exploration and free time. Highlights included our visit to the castle, church, and convent, all of which were captivating and well-explained. With very few visitors around, the experience felt personal and serene. I’m especially grateful to the tour company for not canceling the tour, even though it was just me and one other person. This commitment ensured that I had a unique and personalized experience.
